Eighty Seven Plus Coffee, launching officially in early 2020, will be the first roaster in the UK to specialize in ultra-speciality coffees. As the name suggests, the online coffee shop will strictly offer coffee which has scored a minimum of 87 points on the SCAA scale, beans of remarkable quality.

Based in Kent, Eighty Seven Plus will be sourcing some of the world’s finest microlot coffees and roasting to order in small batches. Coffee will be shipped the same day as it is roasted and packaged in 100% recyclable eco bags.

As speciality coffee consumption in the UK continues to rise, consumers are not only seeking high calibre beans with unique flavour profiles but are interested in the story behind each coffee. Eighty Seven Plus will offer coffee that is 100% traceable from farm to cup, while ensuring that the farmers are paid significantly higher amounts than the typical Fair Trade prices.

While speciality coffee is available from many coffee roasters, both online and in the high street, the coffee on offer typically scores 80 – 84 points. Eighty Seven Plus will be offering coffee for the connoisseur.
