The Prodigal Son Series: Calvary Road Baptist Church Brings You Back to God

Calvary Road Baptist Church organizes a new series that brings the youth back to the arms of God through the parable, The Prodigal Son. This series starts on March 4 at the Calvary Road Baptist School's Student Center.

Calvary Road Baptist Church opens a new series called, “The Prodigal Son,” which is an eight-week series with weekly titles that promote the value of going back to God with the speaker, Matt Carter.

This event is every Wednesday at the Student Center at Calvary Road Baptist Church. It starts at 6:30 pm with dinner, games, and hangouts and ends at 8:30 pm with a table discussion. This activity is open to all children in the CRBC NextGen 712 Ministry – Middle School and High School.

The series kicks off on March 4 with the theme, “The Problem,” which talks about how an increasing number of people have come into the conclusion that life is more fulfilling outside of God’s love. The series progresses as the participants walk through the journey of the prodigal son as he returns to the loving arms of his father.

The staff at Calvary Road Baptist Church talks about their excitement for the upcoming event as they prepare for the gathering ahead.

“It’s going to be an event where children are able to discover the fulfillment in God alone, rather than the worldly pleasures they have outside of their faith,” one staff member said.

Overall, the Prodigal Son series answers the youth’s most common question as they enter into adulthood, “Will I still be able to get the most out of life even if I am in service with the Lord?”

This series answers that question as Matt Carter breaks down the verses of the parable into a powerful and exciting lecture.

“What makes this activity so great is that these children are able to journey with their friends on this road to faith,” another staff member said, “Although it’s like most of our events wherein children can gather together in community with the faith, what makes this series so different is that it’s something they can relate to in life, especially since they’re still in the process of finding themselves.”
