Ab Mai 2027 bietet Lufthansa erstmals eine Nonstop-Verbindung von Columbus nach Europa an. Die Airline setzt darauf, dass deutsche Investitionen, lokales Wachstum und die Anbindung an das Drehkreuz Frankfurt ausreichen, um eine dreimal wöchentliche Verbindung mit einer Boeing 787 „Dreamliner“ wirtschaftlich zu tragen.
