Spanish Fluency Academy for Youngsters announced the launch of a new series of 2019 training courses for students between the ages of 4 and 12. The registration deadline for the new programmes dedicated to preparing students for Spanish fluency at an early age is January 15 with limited spaces available.

More information can be found at https://www.spanishfluencyacademyforyoungsters.com.

The new programmes start in February and are aimed at beginners, intermediate and advanced students. All courses include an interactive learning curriculum based on age-appropriate activities targeting language skills building that ultimately prepares students each year for the the Spanish Language Games competition at their respective levels.

For students aged 4 to 7, the Chicos Group offers a variety of interactive Spanish learning activities for beginners starting from February 5. Although this course is targeted at students without any previous Spanish knowledge, children gain sufficient experience to compete in the annual Spanish Language Games.

The Megusta Group is designed for students aged 8 to 12 who have intermediate Spanish learning experience and are interested in deepening their language skills, while the Grupo Veloz teaches advanced students how to develop near-native Spanish fluency.

After finishing the training programme, all students have the chance to participate in the annual competition and display their mastery in the skills being taught in the academy. The competition takes place both on and off a public stage. An English translation is provided for the audience during each activity of the public competition.

For almost three decades, The Spanish Fluency Centre has been actively assisting Bahamian students in acquiring fluency in Spanish in Nassau, the Bahamas Family Islands, as well as in immersion programmes abroad.

A spokesperson for the Academy said: “Here students learn through engaging conversation, reading chapter books, storytelling, listening, writing, with lively interaction, singing, and physical activity. Soon to their delight, they are beginning to communicate with fluency- speaking and listening, reading and writing while thinking in Spanish, as opposed to translating from English.”
