WTTC Global Summit Opens in Malta as European Travel & Tourism Set to Outpace Wider Economy

Travel & Tourism is forecast to grow 3.1% across Europe in 2026, continuing to outperform the wider economy and exceeding the sector’s 2.6% growth recorded last year, according to the latest research from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), released today at the opening press conference of WTTC’s 26th Global Summit in Malta.
